Hi folks! Today, we’re going to talk about a delicious spinach dip that will be a hit at any gathering.
Even if you’re not a cottage cheese fan, I highly recommend this higher protein spinach dip made with blended cottage cheese. It’s so good!
So, I get it. A lot of people don’t like the texture of cottage cheese because of the curds. But that’s where the blending comes in in this recipe.
You can use any kind of blender for this recipe. An immersion blender is the most convenient for a quick cleanup. Just blend until the texture of the cottage cheese is nice and smooth.
By using cottage cheese instead of mostly mayonnaise in traditional recipes, we cut out on a lot of saturated fat and add more nutrients. In fact, a single half cup of cottage cheese has 14 grams of protein which keeps you fuller for longer and is a significant source of vitamin B12 which keeps blood and nerve cells healthy.
Ingredients You Will Need:
- whole milk cottage cheese
- mayonnaise
- artichokes (optional)
- frozen spinach
- water chestnuts
- cream cheese
- mozzarella cheese
- Parmesan cheese
- garlic cloves
- dried basil
- onion powder
How to make it
- Blend cottage cheese in a blender until smooth.
- In a large bowl, add all ingredients and mix until well combined.
- Serve with veggie crudites, crackers or baked chips.

Sometimes, for a change, I use spinach/artichoke dip over my macaroni. Good hot or cold.
