Method
- Peel and slice the onion in half. Slice into half-moon slices, not too thin or they will disintegrate and get stringy.
- Microwave frozen plantains according to package directions.
- Heat oil in a skillet or wok over medium to medium-high heat. Sauté the onions for 3-4 minutes until they become translucent.
- Once the plantains are finished in the microwave, add them to the onions in the skillet. Season with a bit salt, and pepper, or your preferred seasonings. Continue to sauté for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until reaching your desired level of doneness.
